After playing bingo for 30 years Eileen Twist and her husband, Alan, still love a night out at their local club, with the Stockton couple usually putting in an appearance three or four times a week. And their enthusiasm for the game can only have increased after Eileen won £26,315 at the Mecca Club in Chandlers Wharf, Stockton. The 63-year-old care worker used to work as a treasurer for a bingo club, so being the one receiving the cheque rather than handing it out must have made a nice change. Eileen told the National bingo website that 71-year-old Alan and herself had been playing bingo with Mecca since 1977, and the win came at a convenient time, as Alan had just retired. The lucky winner, who has a daughter called Naomi, revealed that the rest of the family will benefit from her win, she also vowed to continue playing bingo. "I love playing bingo.
